Pakde's end-to-end service lets small businesses and local brands efficiently manage their logistics needs, freeing them to focus on Indonesia's growing e-commerce market.

Cambridge and Stanford graduate Adrian Li was born in London to parents from Hong Kong and Malaysia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cambridge University and an MBA from Stanford University. He is currently a board member of dating startup Paktor, media company MBDC, female online community Female Daily Network, technology development company Imaginato and food social network startup Qraved. He is also the founding and managing partner of venture capital firm Convergence Ventures.

Andri Yadi is a software developer who has co-founded three Indonesian IT companies. After establishing Pakar Solusi Telematika (Pastel), he started Dycode in 2007, a software development company that develops lifestyle apps. In 2015, DycodeX was formed as a subsidiary of Dycode to develop IoT products. Andri graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia with a bachelor’s degree in Physics.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Nicko Batubara had built a strong career in banking. After graduating in 2012 with a bachelor's in Industrial Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, Nicko joined Citibank as a financial officer and rose to become an Assistant Vice President in 2015. He left the company in 2017 to establish logistics service startup Pakde.

Maria Octavyani Manao graduated from Universitas Indonesia with a bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2012. She had interned at Unilever's human resources and upon graduation, joined one of its companies, Nestle. Maria left Nestle in 2014, working at other companies before establishing logistics service startup Pakde in 2017.

Mehak Mumtaz grew up in Pakistan and decided to study biochemistry when she saw her brother suffering from an unknown learning disability. Her parents, both medical doctors, could not get an accurate diagnosis for their son.  In her search to understand the molecular mechanisms behind diseases, she applied to study at the University of Oxford. In 2008, she was granted the Reach Oxford Scholarship and graduated with a master’s in biochemistry in 2012. In 2015, the St Hilda’s alumna worked as an undergraduate tutor at Oxford while completing a PhD in pathology, specializing in oncology and cancer biology.In 2018, she worked on a rare cancer project as EIT Health Business Innovation fellow for a year. She left academia and joined a three-month bioentrepreneur bootcamp in Munich and a one-month Lev8 Woman Program at her alma mater’s Oxford Foundry. She joined EY-Parthenon in London as a strategy consultant in April 2019.In 2019, Mumtaz also met the iLoF co-founding team at the EIT Health Wild Card venture-building program. iLoF is a medtech startup that focuses on personalized medicine through the use of AI and photonics to create optical fingerprints in a cloud-based library to gather and manages disease biomarkers and biological profiles.She joined iLoF as COO and co-founder in December 2019 and left her full-time consultancy role at EY in March 2020.

Mathieu Carlier is CEO and co-founder of Everimpact, a GHG monitoring company that uses satellites, ground sensors, AI and machine learning to deliver more accurate and immediate carbon emissions data to public bodies, municipalities, and businesses. He has over 20 years of experience as an advisor to governments, public institutions at the likes of the UN, the European Commission and EU Agencies, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and large corporations in international development. Prior to Everimpact, much of Carlier’s career was spent in complex data systems projects for government elections or for health ministries in war-torn or post-conflict developing countries. This included delivering multimillion-dollar biometric and big data projects in the run-up to 50 presidential elections in countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, the Congo and Benin. Carlier is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and holds an MSc in Business Administration from the Burgundy School of Business.

Aavishkaar (‘invention’ in Hindi) was founded in 2001 as an early stage investor to help build sustainable enterprises in India’s underserved regions. Its VC portfolio, valued at over US$ 155 million, covers key industry sectors including sanitation, healthcare, agriculture and technology. Its Aavishkaar Frontier Fund was created in 2015 to invest in South and Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

China Minsheng Investment Group (CMIG) is the largest privately owned investment group in China, with RMB 50 billion in registered capital. It was initiated by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and its Global Advisory Council includes the former prime ministers of France, Italy and Pakistan, and various other global experts and Nobel Prize winners.

Based in Singapore, Golden Equator Capital manages investment funds in real estate, currency and technology businesses. Its Technology and Innovation Fund has backed various up-and-coming Southeast Asian startups, such as the internship job board Glints, dating app Paktor and affordable fashion marketplace Sale Stock. Golden Equator also provides industry expertise, mentoring and other supporting services to the companies in its investment portfolio.

Rocky Pesik is the son of Rudy Pesik, founder of the Caraka Group of logistics companies and Birotika Semesta, DHL's partner company in Indonesia. Rocky is a director at both the Caraka Group and Birotika Semesta and has invested in two startups, logistics startup Pakde and international shopping intermediary GudangImpor.

Tunas Nusantara Kapital, also known as TNKapital, is an Indonesian early stage venture capital firm founded in 2017. TNKapital has invested in payroll software startup Gadjian, logistics and fulfilment firm Pakde, as well as employee attendance and management software Hadirr. Like many early stage venture capital firms, TNKapital also provides mentorship and networking support to its portfolio companies.
